Purpose and Background
Construction Administration is a fundamental responsibility of owners, engineers, and general contractors that plays a significant role in successfully achieving project objectives which covers a broad range of topics, roles, responsibilities, duties, obligations, etc.
This course will provide instruction on the fundaments of construction administration including an introduction to construction law and public contracts, utilizing contract documents for administrative tools, communication and management tools, project controls, administrative processes, payment, managing claims, and project close-out. Instruction will consist of traditional lecture modules and high impact cases studies as practical exercises.
