Purpose and Background
Mine subsidence engineering is a multidisciplinary field in engineering. This technical presentation will brief the audience on the fundamental elements of underground mining as it relates to overlying construction. Building on these fundamental principles, various construction site mining scenarios will be given, and a basic understanding of the various risk factors will be provided.
