Purpose and Background
The Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design is a state-of-the-art mass timber structure on the Georgia Tech campus. This net-zero energy project has been awarded LEED Platinum status as well as Living Building certification. The competitive team selection procedure, integrated building design process and construction methodology were truly unique and point the way toward a new and more sustainable way of building.
