This course focuses on worked example problems in wind engineering using ASCE 7‐16. There is often confusion and uncertainty in the engineering practice on how to apply the wind provisions of the ASCE standard. This course will cover 11 different wind engineering problems for hurricane and straight-line winds and one problem for tornado wind loads that will illustrate how to use the ASCE 7 provisions.
This course is one of ASCE's new Guided Online Courses that are highly interactive, instructor-led programs in which learners move through a 12-week learning experience with their peers. The content includes video lectures, interactive exercises, case studies, and weekly discussion topics to help master the course material. Unlimited 24/7 accessibility to weekly modules.
