This webinar is the first of a two part presentation on sediment transport basic.

Water resources professionals working in such topics as sediment basins, erosion control, and stream restoration must have knowledge of sediment transport. Sediment transport analysis is most often used to determine whether erosion or deposition will occur in a stream, the magnitude of this erosion or deposition, and the time and distance over which it will occur.

This portion of the presentation will introduce participants to properties of sediment particles, how to measure those properties and the concept of the “double condition” that controls sediment transport.
