The main intent of this course is to familiarize practitioners with the requirements for process design of groundwater treatment technologies. The knowledge gained throughout this course will allow participants to identify and calculate the key design criteria for water treatment processes including: iron and manganese design, ion exchange design, aeration design, activated carbon design, membrane softening and brackish water RO, activated alumina design, adsorptive media design, precipitation and filtration design, natural treatment process design, residuals handling design, and mechanical dewatering design.
