Purpose and Background
Traffic control devices include signs, markings, traffic signals, and other crucial elements. The various types of signs typically used on public streets are critical to the well-being of a town's citizens. This webinar focuses on what agencies are doing to improve the effectiveness of traffic control devices that are traditionally used on many streets and highways throughout the United States. The webinar also illustrates the use of non-standard signs and discuss why and where such non-standard designs may be necessary. The webinar includes many examples of more effective traffic control devices and in some cases compare them to less effective illustrations.
