This course provides knowledge of surveying engineering fundamentals as they apply to a rapidly changing, digital world. Satellite systems, laster scanning, construction control and the use of the least squares adjustments are just some of the topics that are part of the transportation from 2D to 3D surveying. The course will draw upon the topics contained in the ASCE Engineering Surveying Manual, on the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering exam, and the Professional Engineering Construction Depth exam.
This course is one of ASCE's new Guided Online Courses that are highly interactive, instructor-led programs in which learners move through a 6-week learning experience with their peers. The content includes video lectures, interactive exercises, case studies, and weekly discussion topics to help master the course material. Unlimited 24/7 accessibility to weekly modules.
