INSTRUCTOR: Bryan Dick, P.E., PH, M.ASCE
Purpose and Background
Stormwater BMPs, stream restoration, ecological engineering and erosion control design have unique components that many contractors have yet to construct or price. These projects often seem fairly straight forward to the owner when compared to complex designs such as bridges and vertical infrastructure In many cases, a proposed design will have deviations from standards that are in place for a given state, or municipal government. This webinar presents examples from a range of project types and sizes to demonstrate how limited oversight budget ultimately created overruns in construction budgets, negative impacts on project schedule and constructed products that did not fully meet the intent of the design.
Primary Discussion Topics
- Brief background in critical features of stormwater and stream projects
- Full time, limited or no-oversight of related projects
