The main objective of this course is to familiarize practitioners with bioretention technology, focusing on their design, construction, and maintenance. Bioretention systems are constructed under a variety of configurations and within a diversity of settings, and the design parameters can be configured to target specific hydrologic performance and water quality treatment goals. Proper construction and maintenance are key to ensuring system function over the long-term.
