Purpose and Background

Per the International Building Code (IBC), structures using wood shear walls and diaphragms to resist wind and seismic loads shall be designed and constructed in accordance with American Wood Council's (AWC) 2015 Special Design Provisions for Wind and Seismic (SDPWS).  This webinar discusses the 2015 SDPWS which is a dual format document with both Allowable Stress Design (ASD) and Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD).
